Project Description: A-French Server Room HVAC installation. The Challenges: This project posed a schedule challenge as it required disconnecting the campus server computers. Because of this, work could only be done over one weekend. All systems had to be up and running by the coming Monday. There was also a three week lead time for the Liebert units which was another scheduling hurdle to overcome.
This project was completed on time as scheduled with no additional server down time outside of the one scheduled weekend outage. There were no punch list items at close out.
“Project entailed the installation of two Liebert units for supplemental cooling to accommodate additional server equipment in an existing computer server space. Completion of work in a timely manner was critical to accommodate the arrival of the new server equipment. Work was completed on time and in a very professional fashion.” Frank Lamia, Georgia Tech Facilities
Project Duration: Work started on Oct 29, 2007 and was completed on Dec 10th, 2007.
