Project Description: Boggs Chemistry Lab Renovation, this time sensitive renovation included demolition and re-installing lighting, flooring, a ceiling grid system, counter tops and cabinetry for future Georgia Tech Undergraduate Chemistry classes.
Challenges: One of the major challenges facing the JOC contractor was that all Chemistry lab renovations were on the 3rd floor of an occupied building. The JOC contractor had to take precautions for debris, dust and noise as this project took place in the middle of Spring Semester. There was also no immediate parking available near the building and JOC contractor had to utilize pay lots which required a significant logistical effort. The project was successfully completed on time, with no punch list items at closeout.
Project Duration: Completed in approximately eight (8) weeks from scoping to final close out on May 5th, 2008.
